Ronald (Ron) Snell, age 92 of Brighton MI, passed away on 1-1-2026.
Ron was born on 7-3-1933 to Emil and Marion (Johnson) Snell in Maywood, Illinois.
He attended Proviso High School graduating in 1951.He went on to attend Wabash College for two years before being drafted into the U.S. Army. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to finish his BA degree at Wabash, graduating in 1957.
Ron spent most of his adult life in Villa Park, Illinois, raising a family with his wife, Rozanne. Ron started working for Walgreens in 1957, where he enjoyed a career of 38 years, making many friends and molding many future careers. He spent the last year and a half at Independence Village in Brighton where he made many new friends and enjoyed many activities.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a hard-working, honest and patient man. He enjoyed golf, and was a life-long White Sox and Bears fan. Ron was an avid reader.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rozanne, infant son, David, parents Emil and Marion and sister Joan (Turpin). He is survived by his sons, Kenneth (Sharon) Snell, Michael (Elizabeth) Snell, grandchildren, Heather (Josh) Gauthier, Nicholas (Mindy) Snell, Benjamin Snell and Anna Snell. Great grandchildren, Jaden, Jack and Cameron.
Ron will be inurned with honors, along with his wife, Anne at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a future date.
