Cynthia Lou Brissette

Cynthia Lou (Bovia) Brissette, age 67, passed away on May 3, 2026. Born and raised in Westland, Cyndi later made her home in Pinckney, where she built a life centered around family, laughter, love, and faith.

 

Cyndi was known for her quick wit, kind heart, and a streak of stubbornness that made her uniquely herself. She was talented with her hands, spending time knitting and quilting, creating pieces that will continue to warm her family for years to come. She loved attending concerts and going on road trips, always ready for the next adventure.

 

Above all, her love for her family was fierce, steady, and always present, the kind that didn't need to be spoken to be felt. Cyndi left a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Garold Bovia; her mother, Helois Bovia; her brothers, James and Joel Bovia; and her twin sister, Sandra Meade.

 

She is survived by her children, Rachel (Adam) Montry, Daniel (Christine) Brissette, and Brooke Alexander; her grandchildren, Brenna and Hunter Montry, Addison and Megan Alexander; her great-grandchild, Kiyah; as well as her brothers and sisters, brother and sisters-in-laws, many nieces, and nephews. She will be deeply missed and remembered by her loving family and all whose lives she touched.
