May 31st, 1981 - February 11th, 2026
It is with great sadness that we remember a life that means so much to many of us. Travis Eulice Wilson, 44, born May 31 1981. Travis passed away unexpectedly at his home in Howell Michigan on February 11 2026.
Travis left an undeniable impact on everyone he met. He was the absolute life of the party and the person who made ordinary moments unforgettable.
Travis is survived by his high school sweetheart Candace and three beautiful children Jaxson, Presley, and Hendrix and his two fur babies, Lindy and Dixie. Travis’ greatest joy was his family and he took great pride in being the best dad and husband.
In addition, Travis leaves behind his parents, Deborah and Nick Wilson and his siblings Casey(Bretlyn), Chad(Ashley), Beau(Kay), Carolyn, Clay and his nieces and nephews. Grandparents Carolyn Pehrson, Randy and Yolanda Wilson.
Travis was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth, grandfather Arthur Usher and Grandmother Marie Usher.
Travis met the love of his life Candace in 9th grade. They were high school sweethearts who were inseparable from the beginning. They graduated from Kansas State University and were married in 2006. They relocated back to Howell/Hartland where they are raising their 3 Children. They built a life in shared moments, challenges, dreams and the everyday routines that now feel sacred.
During his High School years attending Howell High, in 1998 he was All-State HM 1st Team All-KVC/A-County. In 1999 MHSF All Star Game (West Squad) where he broke the record for most tackles in the All-Star game. 1999-2000 Played for Michigan State University and won the Citrus Bowl, blocked for TJ Duckett, scored the first touchdown vs Notre Dame. Voted as a “Spartan Warrior” by coaches and team. 2001-2003 Played for Kansas State University earning all Big-12 Academic and commissioner Honor Roll. Blocked for Darren Sproles. Team captain on the Kansas State Big 12 championship team 2003. Recipient of the Kevin Saunders, “Never Give Up” Award. 2003, “Hula Bowl” member. Invited and participated in the 2004 NFL combine. Ranked as the #1 Fullback in the country going into the draft by Mel Kiper Jr. Signed with the San Diego Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs.
Travis loved that his son Jax is carrying on his legacy with the Michigan State Football program. Many Saturdays have been spent cheering on The Michigan State Spartans. Even though his love for Michigan State was strong, Kansas State always held a special place in his heart where he finished his collegiate career.
Throughout his life he built a career marked by hard work, integrity and compassion in the medical device industry. He made a lasting impression on colleagues and all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Trav loved listening to music, being outside with his dogs, going on vacation with his family to Mexico, riding down the dirt roads on his UTV, playing basketball with his friends, watching football, going to concerts and just being with the people he loved and who loved him. The world already feels so much quieter without him.
Travis was one of the good ones. The kind of person you wanted in your life. He was the most loving, thoughtful and genuine soul to ever live. Selfless in every way. He believed in showing up, doing the right thing and caring for the people in his life. He loved so hard and was so passionate about his family and friends. Trav was often referred to as Teddy bear by his closest friends. His laugh, his beautiful smile, and big bear hugs will be forever missed. His absence leaves an ache that words cannot describe.
